The primary true vehicle, the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, was constructed by Karl Benz in 1885–1886. This progressive automobile had three wheels and was powered by an inside combustion engine. It was a revolution in transportation on the time, because it marked the shift from horse-drawn carriages to mechanized automobiles. The automobile was not initially well-received, and it was solely after Benz’s spouse, Bertha Benz, took the automobile on a long-distance drive in 1888 that the automobile grew to become extra widely known. Bertha drove over 100 kilometers to her mom’s home, making it the primary long-distance vehicle journey in historical past. This helped show the practicality and potential of the car.
